In 2021, Andorra issued two special €1.25 coins for the first time in 8 years, dedicated to Andorra’s cultural heritage: the Poetic Narcissus and the Margineda Bridge.
Coin specifications:
White Narcissus: The obverse of the coin depicts a white narcissus (Narcissus poeticus) with four leaves and six petals. The stems of the flowers are curved and the secondary saucer-shaped crown is yellow with a red edge5. The reverse depicts a white narcissus along with the country name “Andorra”, the year of issue (2021) and the denomination of €1.255.
Margineda Bridge: The obverse of the second coin depicts the Pont de la Margineda bridge, built in the 11th century. The bridge is 33 metres long and 9 metres high5. The reverse also features a white daffodil, the country name "Andorra", the year of issue and the denomination5.
