The 2 euro coin issued by Andorra in 2019 is dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the Land Council (Consell de la Terra), which was founded in 1419. This council became Andorra’s first parliament and is responsible for local issues in the country’s seven parishes, each of which includes several villages.
The obverse of the coin features figures representing the members of parliament, with the coat of arms of Andorra in the centre. At the top is the inscription “600 ANYS DEL CONSELL DE LA TERRA”, and at the bottom are the dates 1419 and 2019.
The coin is presented in a luxurious, numbered plastic blister.
