The Malta Euro Set BU 2016 is dedicated to the megalithic temple complex of Ġgantija on the island of Gozo. This set includes all denominations of Malta euro coins from 1 cent to 2 euros in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality.
The Ġgantija complex is considered one of the oldest free-standing structures in the world, dating back to around 3600–3200 BC. The Ġgantija Temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are an important archaeological and cultural monument.
