The Malta Euro Set BU 2008 is the first official set of euro coins issued by Malta after the country joined the eurozone. This set includes all denominations of coins from 1 cent to 2 euros in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality. The obverse of the coins features national symbols of Malta, such as the Maltese cross and the coat of arms of Malta.
The year 2008 is significant for Malta as it was the year the country began using the euro as its official currency.
