BELGIUM 2 EURO ROLL 2009 - EMU - a famous release in commemoration of 10 years of currency and economic integration. The roll includes coins, the reverse of which depicts a figure hardly recognizable among the symbols of the euro. There is a deep meaning in it, namely the concept of a common currency and, as a consequence, the economic and monetary unification (EMU). George Stamatopoulos, a renowned sculptor from Walnut Bank's minting department, was responsible for the design of the coins. He was chosen through an online vote in which representatives of the public proposed about 5 variants dedicated to the EU.
