In the foreground are sculptures of gods carved on a bas-relief above the main entrance to the bank: the god of trade Mercury and the goddess of fortune Fortuna with a cornucopia.
In the background is an image of the building of the Austrian National Bank.
At the top is the name of the issuing state "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH".
At the bottom is the inscription "200 JAHRE OESTERREICHISCHE NATIONALBANK" and the dates "1816" and "2016".
